This coffee comes from the women producers of ARGCAFEE, a cooperative in Argelia, Cauca. Currently, 78 women contribute to the program, with many more preparing to join. The initiative highlights and supports the essential role women play in the coffee industry, ensuring recognition and opportunity for their work.

Beyond supporting female producers, this coffee is also part of the Coca Substitution Program—a collaboration between Café Imports, Banexport, and ARGCAFEE. The program encourages farmers to grow coffee as a sustainable alternative to coca, providing higher-than-average premiums, technical training, and access to stable markets.

By offering education, resources, and guaranteed purchase, the program empowers farmers to transition away from illicit crops, build long-term economic security, and strengthen their communities. It also promotes environmentally responsible practices, helping preserve the land for future generations.
